- Start your day by writing a clear goal for that day.
- Observe your day every 2 hours and keep a check on the goal for the day.
When we are in the moment it is difficult to differentiate between being busy and being productive. You might be hustling throughout the day, exhausted by the end of the day, but was it important enough what you did today? We are going through every day with this same energy without asking the right questions. We need a pause, not once in a while, but every single day.
Take a deep breath and rewind a little bit, just a few hours back from now. Were you working on the things that you wanted to work on? Were you with the person you should be with. With every single second, we miss a second of our lives and in that very second, we miss a few thoughts and maybe a thought that could have changed our lives.
We live in this bubble of our comfort zones, we go through the motions of every day, the same way. We don’t take a pause because if we do there is a long list of things that we need to do. You set goals for your future self, but you are rude to him/her, you promised but you are not doing your part on time. Imagine yourself in the future, how would you feel about the past you who has left a lot for you to do. If you start observing your own life with more thoughtfulness and being aware of the present moment you can give a better version of yourself to the future you.
